We are very excited about this set of classes as we navigate through fundamental techniques that lead to many dishes of all varieties. These classes hold the key to many recipes as it is the HOW & WHY everything comes together.

No matter your level of experience or how large (or small) your kitchen, we will enjoy helping you learn a new skill!




The Perfect Sauté Class   4-5 hours

French for “made to jump,” sauté is a method of cooking that is universal for a wide, almost limitless, variety of preparations. Using higher heat; sauté browns food, preserving texture, moisture and favor. Once the method is followed, complimentary sauces are created to complete your creation. We use hands-on, fun instruction to help you take steps to mastering this technique in your own home.

Once you have reserved your date, a questionnaire will be sent to you in order to customize your class to suit your needs. A typical class will ultimately explore the techniques used to create many dishes including egg preparations, complex pastas dishes, poultry and seafood.

The Perfect Braise Class   4-5 hours braise

Braising, named for the traditional vessels used to cook within, is a combination cooking method using both moist and dry heat. Braising utilizes cuts of meat and vegetables which can be full of flavor but rather challenging to cook. Patience is required, but the resulting dishes are without equal. Get ready to dive in, this one is fun!

Once you have reserved your date, a questionnaire will be sent to you in order to customize your class to suit your needs. A typical class will ultimately explore the techniques used to create many dishes including vegetable preparations, en cru, complex meat and poultry dishes, poultry and more.

The Perfect Poach Class   4-5 hours

On the opposite side of the equation from braising is poaching. Poaching is particularly suitable for delicate food, such as eggs, some cuts of poultry, fish and even fruit! Delicate “Court Bouillons” are crafted from wine, stocks and aromatics to create a cooking medium full of flavor and the perfect vehicle to delivery a wonderful dish. Poaching is considered a one of the healthiest cooking methods and is an essential skill within any kitchen.
